Fara Physiotherapy

Our Story

How We Started

Fara, which means “to venture or travel” in Old Norse, is a name inspired by our love for the outdoors, but most importantly, our passion for helping you on your journey from pain to performance. Whether it’s achieving your 5km running personal best or being able to play with your grandchildren, whatever your goal, we want to help you.

Fara Physio was created in September 2024 by Siobhan Houseman and Tom Troughton, two physiotherapists who, after working closely together in their separate physio clinics for the past three years, decided to form a partnership in April 2024.

Previously known as Summit Physiotherapy in Ilkley and Nidd Valley Physio in Nidderdale, Fara Physio is the culmination of these two clinics.

In unity, there is strength. Through our partnership, we aim to grow further and provide the highest level of healthcare possible through the various services we offer.

Our vision is to be the best physio practice in North and West Yorkshire. Will you join us on a journey from pain to performance today?
